Context
When Sweat Economy launched, the audience was spread across the app and a handful of community chats. Launches, partner news and community moments needed a public home, and X was the obvious place. The account was starting from zero.
The challenge
Grow a following quickly without buying reach, and keep it engaged. A big audience that never interacts is worth very little, so engagement mattered as much as the follower count.
What I did
I started with the voice: friendly, a little playful and always useful. Every post, reply and graphic followed it, so the account felt like one person rather than a rotating team.
I designed most of the creative myself in Figma and Canva. That meant a post could go out the moment news broke, instead of waiting in a design queue, and being first to a conversation is half the battle on X.
I built a steady rhythm of product updates, community spotlights, prize draws and timely moments, then let the numbers decide what got more airtime.
As the audience grew, I split it across three accounts with distinct audiences and voices. An AI-assisted research-to-draft workflow made running three accounts possible without losing quality on any of them.
Results
The account grew from zero to 585K followers while holding a 7–9% engagement rate, well above typical brand benchmarks. X became the main channel for every major announcement, including the US launch.
Speed and consistency beat polish. Owning both the copy and the design made it possible to be first to every conversation.
